A Wisconsin Day Trip ride from Fond Du Lac to Dundee and back. This ride utilizes the Old Plank Road Trail (asphalt) that parallels Wisconsin State Highway 23, and the Eisenbaum Trail (crushed limestone) into Eden. Most of the paved roads are country/county roads with limit width shoulders so while this is a very fun ride, and depending on the day and time of week the amount of traffic will never be too heavy, and my experience is most vehicles give bikes a wide berth generally passing in the opposing lane of traffic. So this ride is a great ride for people seeking to get more comfortable sharing the road with vehicular traffic. Dundee is a small village but it has a lot going for it. Since it is close to many outdoor activities and the Kettle Moraine State Forest. There are a few really good cafes.
