A layover day ride along NE East Devils Lake Rd. Nice ups and downs, good road and light traffic. Then out on Hwy 101 for a sustained climb 4-7%, followed by a fast long downhill!
We turn off on Slab Creek Rd, which was in great condition with some new pavement and no cars. It follows along Neskowin Creek. Near the top it becomes N. Old Scenic Hwy 101. We regroup and the fast people eat blackberries while waiting. After more great downhill, we go L on N. North Bank Rd to add some extra miles before it meets Hwy 18 and takes us west toward the busy Otis Cafe. We get our pie and continue on 18 to Hwy 101, back to 32nd St and up the hill to the school. Seems all schools on the coast (Tsunami areas) are now on top of steep hills!
