Eight Loiterers left Uxbridge towards Denham and on to Chalfont St Peter via Slade Oak Lane for our intended coffee stop at Budgens where we bumped into John Macmillan. Unfortunately the cafe was closed on account of it being a bank holiday, apparently. We therefore retired to Crumbs on the other side of the road where we supped our beverages outside in the sun.
Suitably refreshed we climbed Gold Hill and made for Gerrards Cross and Hedgerley Lane which we followed all the way to Beaconsfield Services and our lunch stop at The Hope and Champion where we spent a pleasant break on the vast, sheltered patio area.
After lunch we retraced our tyre tracks back along Hedgerley Lane to Andrews Hill Lane, turning into Kiln Lane and making our way to the One Pin Crossroads. We the made our way to Black Park of tea via Stoke Poges and Wexham Street.
Black Park was very busy and there was a market at the end of the car park. we had tea at the open air cafe near the car park before making our way through the park to Pinewood Green and on to Uxbridge.
