I had an appointment this morning, so I got out a bit late. The weather is great. In the 60's. Winds from the South East. I decided to go to the top of Banducci and then do a quick Bufallo Run. The legs felt good to start. I made it to the summit of OTR in good time. The Banducci Wall had some traffic mitigation, so I was constantly watching my 6. I recovered on the flat segment and then made my way to the summit doing no less then moderate tempo. I made it to the summit in good time. After recovering for a few moments, I let traffic by and then headed back down the mountain. The wind was somewhat turbulent, so I had a partial headwind most of the way down. The descent off the Banducci Wall was mostly safe. From there, I headed to the top of Highline. I had a headwind on the way up (as was expected). I made my way around the neighborhood and then hopped back on Highline for the return. Descending off OTR was mostly fun and games. I pushed over Mariposa and made my way back to Weston where I put in a good dig. Shortly after, I shut it down.
Concentration was good. The morale was good today and the weather was great! I was in the zone most of the time. Balance and form was good. Nutrition was good. I fed half a banana, some grapes, apple sauce and a Clif Bar before departing. That held me over plenty without aches. Ailments were minimal. Some hand numbness while digging out of the saddle. Gear worked flawlessly. Other notes, I saw one e-biker, no cyclists.
