Well That Sure Took A Long Time

Started a much needed overhaul of the road/gravel bike way back in August, and can finally say that the project has been successfully completed after a few extra weeks of avoiding bar tape installation. Lots of reasons (excuses!!) for why it has taken this long, but happy to inform bradford smith and Devin Feilen that all of the squeaks have been remedied (for now), and Shannon Skerritt that I did use new cable housing throughout.

I’ve been my own mechanic for 40 years, and many people have rightfully called me out for how much deferred maintenance I will endure/ignore. At the same time, I’m really enjoying this bike again, especially the upgrade to 105, and I’m very thankful for all of the input and encouragement received from many cycling friends, including Alan Barbaran 🇵🇪 , Sarah Rogers, Scott C. & Dillon Maloney.

    Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices

  • TCX Course

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
