Bucine to Florence

A reasonable night's sleep (aided by two Amitriptyline) in the cabin - and good to open the door to woodland bird-song and fresh air.

Back down the tracks to a minor road headin towards Florence, stopping at the first cafe I encountered for an unhealthy energy-giving coffee and doughnut breakfast.

Most of the route through low-rise unremarkable villages and small towns. A few factories and workshops. An attempt to leave the road for an almost parallel streamside path proved unwarkable as the path was blocked in several places for repairs.

One longish (8km) 380m uphill at about km 35, then an equally long downhill into Florence.

Thick with tourists.
