Uzbekistan Day 5 Samarkand to Jizzakh

A 7 Donkey ride 🫏 !
A great start to the day, with a view of Registan Square a devoid of people apart from a fashion shoot. A roadside breakfast of some deep fried batter with potato that was delicious. Initially great route through backroads, not always paved, but really scenic. Unfortunately after that we hit the main highway and a rough end to the day. Very hot, and a lunch that was memorable for being made in the filthiest kitchen I’ve ever seen. Eventually off the highway and passed through The Tamerlane's Gates before reaching Jizzakh.
