Relaxing and instructive. Feel pretty good at home, but waiting to see how I feel in the morning.
Had a longer ride planned, to Canajoharie and back, but woke up and didn't feel like moving until late. Switched over to time-based, go out as far as I can, turn around at 1300, ride back as fast as I can.
First half of the ride was really relaxed, like hedonism pace. Was able to eat much more than expected. My time estimate to the Hungry Chicken was really close - predicted 2:45, got there 2:55. Predicted half an hour break, still reasonable, but I really just loafed around enjoying brunch for 50 minutes.
Dodging the rough patches south of Amsterdam via 5S worked really well, as did cutting along Queen Anne Street.
Made it to Fort Hunter, good turn around point.
Took 20 minute break at Lock 28, pretty.
Accuracy of predictions is falling off as the ride progresses - mile 65 predicted 5:05, was 6:00.
Had a much harder time eating on the way back
After that I really tried to pick up the pace on the way back. Felt completely fine through mile 75, the steep hill at mile 80 was a killer, hard to recover from.
Started to get mild foot numbness - stopped to loosen my shoes at mile 91, foot numbness went away immediately. I need to just leave my shoes that loose to start with.
Was feeling better, kind of recovered around mile 92, but had a real hard time generating torque - any inclines or acceleration were much more challenging.
Some riders in the Greenway were kind enough to let me draft, that was nice of them.
Got home a half-hour ahead of the prediction I made at Lock 28, and about 45 minutes ahead of where I expected on the longer trip.
Got home, felt pretty good. Would be slow on a bike, but didn't notice any of the signs of fatigue like wobbling around. Could jog and hop over small garden obstacles fine. Legs don't really feel sore, have to poke hard to tell.
Pulling the neck gaiter over my mouth blocked bugs, didn't seem to affect my air intake, and I'm not noticing a sore throat like some other rides so I think it's blocking grit too. Really deep breaths are a little tricky, though less so than other rides.
RWGPS Calorie estimate much higher than expected, but calorie intake is about the same as previous rides.
Food, 200cal
Before ride 600cal Cereal and coffee
mile 13 250cal 1 mochi
mile 15 500cal 2 mochi
mile 35 1000cal 2egg&cheese on croissant, chocolate milk
mile 55 500cal 1 zongzi
mile 68 200cal small soft ice cream cone
mile 92 250cal managed to choke down one more mochi
After, probably 1000 calories of tofu and quinoa
Water, 3.5L / 6L Expected
0.7 L by mile 35
Refill at Hungry Chicken, coffee chocolate milk
0.3 L seltzer at Hungry Chicken on way back
2.5 L bag empty around finish.
Had a sensor glitch again. Speedometer thinks I'm riding to the moon and back while I'm on lunch break.

Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. I thought that was you, but I was in the middle of a Day 8 bike tour delirium. Lovely weather yesterday!
Yeah, it was a really nice day, pity I missed you.
