We enjoyed the route so much yesterday, we decided to come back and see what was further down the trail. We found some nice going, some soft sandy gravelly stretches, some rough areas and some soft, sandy, gravelly rough stretches. We met a couple of cyclists front Germany at Chute Lake who said that they found some soft sandy stretches on the way from Princeton that were so bad that they bailed to the road. I think we found that part today, at Trout Creek Station, just east of Osprey Lake. We had no trouble getting through but we are running tires almost twice as wide as they were and they were heavily loaded. Out here size does matter! We came upon a small mine shaft dug into a cliff face but it only went in about 20 ft. Darn!
