Our last day at Lost Moose we decided to explore Beaver Dell Road past the Ellis Reservoir. We found Idleback Lake, a nice little Recreation Site and lots of logging roads leading off into the hills. We tried to find a better view of the mountains to the east but just found more trees. Our first day at the Ellis Reservoir, Del had told us about a big empty field south of the reservoir where a mill had once been located. We found the field and met up with Wayne, a burly mountain man living in a motor home in the bush near the reservoir with his dog Louis. He looked like a man with lots of stories but we were in a bit of a hurry as some rain clouds seemed to be moving in. All in all, a fun but challenging day!
