Lovely day for a ride! Mostly cloudy in low-70s. A really lovely ride, hills not too bad (the first one had me panting, but in part because Dan dropped his chain and I raced ahead to warn Tom - at least I think that's where we were). Stopped at an area with a lovely view of the Merrimack River (there were views all along, but this had a swing). Had lunch at Port City Sandwich Company in Newburyport, 4 miles from the end of the route. FANTASTIC PLACE! I had the Chicken Teriyaki wrap, the 2nd half enjoyed the following day at home. Tom said: We enjoyed the views from both sides of the Merrimack River and then explored a bit of the city of Newburyport with its old houses, rustic waterfront and multiple bike paths. We (save for two) enjoyed lunch at the sandwich shop before heading back to the cars."
