The KVR from Kettle River Rec area to Beaver Dell is a lot like the rest, some nice, some sandy, some rough, some rough and sandy! Really fun ride! When we got to Beaver Dell we couldn’t decide whether to stop at the Beaver Dell General Store for snacks and drinks, Sweet Adeline’s for Ice Cream or at the Convenience Store for coffee. So we did all three! Stuffed cheese buns and pop at the General Store, ice cream at Sweet Adeline’s and Lattes at the coffee bar in the convenience store! Well fueled for the way home. We have seen some underbiked people on these trails, mostly road touring bikes with mid sized tires but today we met a couple just south of Beaver Dell, the lady was on a decent gravel bike with good bags but the guy behind her was on what looked like a road bike with 32mm tires and he was towing a suitcase trailer with about 6” plastic wheels. Definitely not my first choice for rough terrain!
