I went this time to ISM on my own and it was lovely but I could not leave the bike at the entrance as I had no locks . Such a fuck-up! I tried to walk around with the but it was possible but it would have been too long and too difficult and I was tired anyhow . We had discovered that we were a day late here as we had been rung up on the Monday just as we left the terra firma og Dublin Docks to discover so . The girl I suppose was wondering where we were . Were we lost or were we on our way? We had just left a day too late . So we lost a day of our holliers . So on we went as we culd do nothing about it . Talk about "Tosnu maith no h-oibre" - it definitly was not a tosnu maith . It was upsetting to have lost a day in france I suppose . That was mistake number 1 but wait ..... When we arrived in France in the Complex in Beauvoir , I discovered that I had left our cycling gear at home , the most imortant being the 2 helmets . We had cycling gear which we could wear but the most important was the repair bits , pump, allen keys and others.. So we were really stranded and I could not go on a long cycle . It turned out that I would not really do a long on at that stage. So the holiday became a bit of a disaster . It could have caused a large row but at least behind it all , all we could do is laugh and soldier on . So along came the last day of our holliers . We were sitting down at about 9-30AM when the Lad from the Office called to ask us were we not got yet . We discovered that we should have gone home that day and not the day after. So we got a spark in our backsides and were evicted . That meant we had anothday to sleep , maybe in the car ! So we got a perfect place in Cherbourg , extremely basic and just what we wanted . So we just got up and left the next morning after having our breakfast . It was not the bast of holliers but we made the best of it , because what else could we do . Other people have made worse mistakes . We made things as good as one could and we made a laugh of it . Other couples could have nearly divorced . At least one was an eejit and the other was an eejit as well . We are both well suited .
