Chateauneuf to Saint Secondin

After a great night of hospitality shown by restaurant owner Laurent and cook Jean Pierre the bar couch was offered (and gratefully accepted) as last nights accommodation. Obligatory café and croissants meant a slightly later start but another overcast day with cooler temps meant a good days ride.
Lovely lunch on the banks of the picturesque Charente River a highlight as were several 12th Century churches and small castle
Tent out tonight should be cool 🤞

Looks like you are covering some ground! Cooler temps ! Eurovelos! Red wine! Croissants! No hills! Life looks good for you! Gotta say I am missing the daily biking ritual. Btw that old boat of mine is arriving just up the road from you tomorrow to its new home of Brittany.

Gotta say Bill..things aren't too bad at all 😄 and yes I can imagine after such an epic ride you'll feel like your in a bit of void. Start planning for the next one
And no Cath..still some kidney muffins left..but I will have two croissants this morning just in case 🥐☕️🥐👍
