Whoa! What an epic ride! Wanting more PNW gravel after yesterday, a took a suggestion to ride in Forest Park. A quick internet search yielded a route that was described as "must do," so I did it. I knew the day would be special when, during a section of road climbing I did with a guy named Preston, a big ass tree fell just off to the right of us! A few degrees to the left, and that tree would have fallen across the road onto us! And yes, it did make a sound! The route was more than enough of a challenge, and after a chunky desent, my rental bike's headset was loose. As I was doing the repair, a cyclist riding a Fairlight Secan (in purple, no less!) stopped and asked if I was alright. We struck up a conversation, I got to gush all over his bike (I'm on the fence about getting one myself), and we clicked. He asked what I route was doing, expressed that he'd like to join, and we were off!
