Umpqua Lighthouse to Bald Knob Lookout Tower

Chill route. Starts with 101 riding and a few detours off of it. The highway to Myrtle Point kinda sucks. Not scary, just unpleasant. Made a wrong turn after stopping in this town, it was actually kinda pretty. I would recommend you avoid the highway as much as you can until it splits towards Powers as I did. Store stop in Powers kinda sucked since I didn't have any cookware, I got uncrustables and a variety of junk to tide me over. The climb to the lookout tower starts after Powers, it's pretty chill until you hit the gravel. The winters here definitely take their toll on the road and there were several hike-a-bike sections.

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
