Bicycle Adventures Crater Lake Tour Day 5 - Crater Lake. The main event. Shuttled to Annie Falls Sno-Park. Another late start (11 AM). Rode 2.5 miles to the Munson Valley Rd turn-off and Mazama Village for a quick stop. Continued on past the Visitor Center and to the Rim. Took West Rim Rd, past Watchman Tower, to the East Rim Rd junction. More climbing on East Rim Rd for about another 1/2 mile then a long descent to the shuttle van lunch stop about 500 yards west of the Cleetwood Trail. Chose to continue on for another 5 miles to the Mt. Scott trailhead then returned to the lunch spot. The plan was to hike down the Cleetwood Trail to the lake, but a massive crowd and time constraints resulted in a no-go. Returned on East Rim Rd to the junction then went north for a nice 5-mile downhill to Pumic Desert.
