Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

Today was supposed to be in the 90's. Turns out that it was in the 80's with overcast. It was a good day to get out and ride. One of the objectives of this ride was to test the cleat position on my right shoe. To get to the point, I think it is better. Not perfect, but definitely better. I still have issues with balance. I was constantly making adjustments while riding. Changing heal-in/out, handlebar position, and stretching constantly. As for the ride. I started out modest. I was planning on taking it easy, but the competitive side took over when I reached Banducci. I was pushing pretty hard over the wall, slowed the tempo over the plateau and picked up the tempo for the remainder of the climb. I cruised the downhill, practiced my tuck, and took it easy once I reached the base. As I was going through the farmlands on teh way out, I kept the tempo modest and sometimes higher. I slowed the tempo after passing the SS entrance. I stayed within myself going up the SS climb and gave it a bit of a push (although not excessive). I recovered over the next few minutes and did a provision check. I calculated that I would have just enough to get me back. And that proved to be true. I think I made it to the tunnel in about 1 hour +/- 1 minute. I took it easy going back east on Banducci. As soon as I reached Pelliser, I increased the tempo. There was construction with only one lane open. I just made it in time for my side to pass. Thinking that they were going to have to wait till I crossed the gap, I was pushing it pretty hard. I made it just in time as there was traffic just about to merge on my side of the road. From this point I wanted to reach Boss Hogs in about 1:20ish hrs. I think I did just a bit over, but still good time. The last climb was mostly moderate. I tried to keep my tempo steady as to keep enough in my reserves for the remainder of the ride. I was exhausted going over the last kicker on CVR but recovered over the flat section. The rest of the ride was mostly fun and games. I did have enough provisions to get me home. Ailments, mostly general soreness in the lower back, but mitigated with stretching. Gear is working well. I tried my new shorts that came yesterday and they fit well. The second pair was a bit loose, and I think I'm going to return them, but try one more time. I think the chamois agrees with my anatomy better. Concentration was good for the most part, I was continuously focused on balance more than anything. Other notes, there continues to be road construction on the CVR leg prior to the route 202 juncture. I'm hoping it will be another bike lane.
