Day two was amazing after leaving Walton Lake, lots of sweeping meadows and beautiful flowers. Going through one of the higher meadows we noticed a fire watch tower and idly commented it would be cool to check out, further on we came to a fork that we figured would send us to the tower. We happily detoured and after climbing up through some technical loose rocky terrain arrived at the manned tower and were allowed to go up and enjoy the view. Leaving Mt Pisgah we finally ran into some harder downhill sections with loose rocks bigger than your fist. Will definitely had a better time than me since I'm more of a roadie, however he ended up with a tear in his tire that he ended up fighting the rest of the trip. Coming out of the difficult section we turned left onto a nicely graded gravel road for a long downhill that bordered a gorgeous meadow with a stream running through it. This easy downhill took us all the way to the town of Mitchell and the wonderful Spoken Hostel where we stayed the night.
