Bendorf to Mainz

A quiet paddock resulted in a good night's sleep and an early start. Entering the area they call the 'Middle Rhine' where the river has incised between low hills..almost like the Beaumont Gorge but covered in bush..very aesthetic and of course river side towns with the ubiquitous church or castle.
At Bingen the landscape broadens out again and farmland resumes.
How small the world is..have met up with Ian MacBeth and wife Julie from the Avon Rowing club doing the same on their bikes but going the other way. Tented together on Rettsburgaue Island in the middle of the Rhine ..crazy!!

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
