And yeah, that’s how they spell it, without an apostrophe.
Bob suggested San Bruno Mtn. today which was great because I've wanting to go to Melissas Taqueria for a while now.
We got lucky with the wind today. The headwind didn't really pickup until we got to bike path in San Bruno. The entrance to around Tanforan has changed after the construction and I was so confused. I was expecting it to be on the right and because I was looking to the right, completely missed it to our left. Luckily, Bob saw it.
Tried a new way to get from Sawyer Camp Trail to San Bruno. It was mostly fine expect for the steep descent on poor pavement.
On the climb up Guadalupe Canyon, Bob was doing a good effort but he was starting to fade within sight of the gate and I tried encouraging him to push since it was just another 30s to go.
After the gate, there was a runner, just slight ahead of us that took the trail up to the top. When we got to the top, that runner was just a couple minutes behind us. I'm guessing the trail is more direct but still, the runner was in good shape.
On the way down the other side of Guadalupe Canyon, a bug hit me in the chest at high speed, then a second or two later, another one hit me in the helmet. I was thinking, stay away from my face, they better not sting me again.
Melissas' burrito is great. It's similar to Amigos, in Ladera, which is another favorite of mine.
The windiest part of the ride was out at Oyster Point. I'm not sure why it's so windy there all the time. I'm just glad it wasn't that bad and it wasn't the entire time we were out there.
Once we were back on the road though, the tailwind was so nice.
We stopped to get water at Bayside Park. It was one of those multi-stationed ones with a water fountain, one for bottles and one for pets. It had a weird design. At first I pushed the button on the side opposite the water fountain. Nothing seemed to be happening. I thought maybe it wasn't working until I saw water coming from the pet fountain. I started looking all around for the bottle filler button and eventually found it on the back. That makes no sense, especially where there was a panel in the front where a button could be placed.
