Shoe Factory Woods MTB Ride 8-12-25

Fuel EX 9.8. Warm and humid, around 80 degrees, hazy with some sun, variable winds @ 4-8 mph. A few hikers out but no other cyclists. They finally finished the repaving and striping at the Carl Hansen parking area, but Google still said it was closed (took them around 6 weeks) so I parked and started at the Schaumburg Rd Grasslands.

I did two full perimeter laps on the Southern trails then road one lap around the Northern Prairie. I saw 4-5 deer, one of those might have been twice on a reverse lap. Good ride, stopped by The Assembly for a salad lunch.
