Exploring 5 districts in Terengganu and Gleywak. In conjunction with Gleywak Bikecamping held this year. I had planned to explore several districts in the State of Terengganu, Malaysia. I started the journey from Sungai Karang, Balok, Kuantan, Pahang by entering the Kemaman district and heading to the Dungun district for the first day. While I was on the way, I met a bicycle shop in the Kerteh area, namely Kedai Basikal Cyclestream. The entrepreneur was quite kind and generous. Upon arriving in the Dungun district, I stayed overnight at a guesthouse that cost RM30 overnight and continued the next day to the Kuala Berang district. Starting the journey to the Kuala Berang district, I started climbing and headed towards the West of Terengganu. Along the way, I passed through village areas and the roads were quite hilly and partly unpaved. A little late I arrived in the Kuala Berang district and I slept at the Sultan Mahmud Mosque Kuala Berang. Free and on the third day, my journey started towards Hulu Kasar, Setiu through the outskirts of Hulu Terengganu and then to Hulu Kasar, Setiu. The entire journey from Kuala Berang district was quite challenging and my mental health began to suffer due to obstacles along the way and the hot days. We were welcomed by the Organizers, before reaching Hulu Kasar, with various creativity and enthusiasm. They were quite friendly, noble and beautiful. And when we arrived, we checked in and our activities began at Gleywak Bikecamp for three days and two nights. It was quite disappointing because we did not have an Internet connection at the campsite so there was no update from us throughout the event day (Gleywak). And on the second day, a storm and heavy rain hit our campsite. After the event ended, I continued my journey back through the Kuala Terengganu district and I ended the journey in Mercang in the Marang district. Thank you Gleywak for organizing a cycling program that was quite motivating, not boring and funny. Because of that, I was able to make this cycling trip a success. Hopefully programs like this will always progress and continue to grow in Malaysia. Hopefully the organizers will better understand and appreciate the true identity of the concept of cycling and camping travelers. Playing music until the early morning and the sound of generators from the sales stalls is not a good thing because it disrupts the rest of the cyclists who continue their journey until they return home. And don't forget about new acquaintances, hopefully the goal of cycling will find us and continue to grow stronger.
