Belgrade to Takovo

I don't really know what I expected of Belgrade perhaps a city still recovering from conflict and struggling to get upto speed but boy is it doing a great job. Vibrant cafe/restaurant scenes a massive multi story mall and impressive riverfront redevelopment..impressed was I.
The riding of the great plains of the Danube are well and truly over as it was back to the hills and smaller much less busy roads. The rural scene seems to be straight from the 1970s with much smaller machinery (the Serbian equivalent of the old TEA or MF 135 tractors) being commonplace with simple older farmhouses and outbuildings.
Found a nice wee park with oak trees in which to roll out the sleeping bag..big day in the sun

you will miss following the Danube . hope the temperature isn't still too hot for riding. Beautiful day down here. The cows are delivering - nearly a third of the way through, hope the weather holds out for them. Take care, ❤️💕

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
