Opted to take a chance and go out to Banks and ride the Banks-to-Vernonia path. Reached the main trailhead around 920 am and the lot was already full. Managed to get a space when someone left. The overflow parking area across the street was blocked off. Great morning; cloudy, cool and no wind. Ran into some drizzle just before the LL Stewart Park road (mile 9.75). Path was wet from LL Stewart to near the Beaver Creek trailhead (mile 16.8). Got off the path just before the Timber Rd junction. Turned onto Timber Rd and continued to the Highway 26 junction. Returned the same way. Path was mainly dry on the return trip. Did not come across any horses on this ride. Did not notice any recent improvements to existing rough sections. Nearly all the tree-root damage, dips and major holes were clearly marked.
