Ride starts at Jefferson City Park. The first 16.5 miles goes through the Ankeny Wildlife Refuge and eventually follows the Willamette River on Sydney Rd. Then it's on Riverside Drive into Independence. Lots of new chip-seal through the Refuge and on Riverside Drive. Quick stop on Corvallis Rd in Independence, then onto Buena Vista Rd, past Redgate Winery to the little town of Buena Vista (mile 25). Next 4.5 mile stretch on Buena Vista Rd follows the Luckiamute River to Springhill Rd. Six miles on Springhill Rd to the Highway 20 bridge over the Willamette at Albany. A stretch of Salem Ave. was closed, so had to follow detour signs. Eventually returned to Salem Ave. at Geary St. Continued on through Millersburg and then took Morningstar Rd to Dever-Conner Rd, crossing I-5. Finished via Highway 164 back into Jefferson. Great morning ride with little to no wind.
