Amsterdam, NY to East Greenbush, NY Much cooler today ☺️ which made for comfortable riding all day. The sky looked clearer and felt dryer than it has been; really amazing how much conditions changed just overnight. I spent a lot of time today struggling with getting the bike balanced to minimize the oscillations. Also, my GPS seemed to have finally failed; it was not able to maintain a satellite lock for much more than a few minutes at a time. During our lunch stop I found an REI in Albany, which was pretty close to our planned route. They had a suitable replacement in stock so we rerouted to the store to pick it up. We shortcut from there to our hotel for the night, through the busy streets of Albany to the Hudson river where we picked back up the Empire State Trail to our hotel for the night. I got the new GPS setup the way I like it, created a short test route and rode it just to make sure the GPS is navigating as expected (it was).
