Bitola city and surroundings

Lovely city of Bitola was real fun to explore. Old Bazar market, old city with preserved buildings and cobblestone streets, walking district of the New city, archeological site of Heraklea Lyncestis from 4th century BC, Serbian solders cemetery 1912-1918, Mosques and Churches.
It is my favorite Macedonian city so far.
Surroundings are also very interesting. Slopes of Pelister mountain offer endless possibilities for fun. I was following, for one part, Akvadukt service road. As the mountain is very rich with water springs, in mid 20th century, they built Akvadukt to collect all that water and bring it down to the hydro power plant and city water reservoir.
Nature is very lush with mixed forest.
Looking forward to exploring area in more depth.

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
