河源八哥召集去騎汕頭南澳島和潮洲鳳凰山,是我嚮往已久的地方,立刻報名參加。但係我們因為被此是天南地北,所以約好各自前往汕頭會合。
十五號黃昏到達汕頭,得到汕頭車友永久騎行隊的小江大哥接待,並安排借出地方給我宿一宵,非常感激。
與小江大哥約好十六號晨早 04:50 集合,再騎去金砂路和一眾汕頭車友會合。要這樣早的時間出發,是為了趕上首班往南澳島的渡輪;從集合點到萊長渡口,大慨有18Km。因為河源的車友是深夜到達汕頭,故而約好在渡口會合。兩地車友會師後,一同乘首班渡輪過去南澳島。汕頭往南澳島的大橋仍在建設中,據說大橋已經合龍,相信不遠的將來就能通車,那時就不需要為趕航班而起早摸黑了。
長山尾渡口拍過大合照後起步,小江大哥安排了大家先騎爬坡路,而他為了後勤保障,和幾位車友放棄了騎行,駕車支援騎行隊伍。騎行一開始就是爬坡,部份較新的車友,加上昨夜交通勞累,休息不好,好快就開始推行。騎行隊伍人多,當中不乏能力甚強的車友,轉眼就不見縱影。對我來說,則沒有特別的難度,慢慢上就是。
騎到 X057 的高點,當時只有十幾人,大家估算後隊還有長路要推,於是發起踩上九尖山,我當然要跟。到九尖山後,原來還有一段坡上大尖山,多數車友選擇到九尖山止步,我與另一位朋友則繼續騎到大尖山車路盡處回程。
重新回到 X057 的高點,既然是高點,之後當然是落坡路,這路中間除了小段上坡外,基本上是落坡直到海邊。此路途中跨越北回歸線,教我們認識了什麼是北回歸線。另外,到海邊路程途中,只有一處補給點;其實沒有補給也沒問題。
這段落坡路發生了一個小意外,有河源的女車友擦破膝蓋一點皮。
到海邊後,接上環島的公路,我們的路線是右轉,去午飯的農家樂。南澳島的地理環境和香港島類似,島的中央是山區爬坡,而因為南澳島沒有填海拓地,沒有很長的平路,環島的車路也是不段的起落,幸而香港日常的騎行都是這樣,我需然騎的較慢,卻也難不到我。這次騎行,有一位 74歲的汕頭車友鷹叔,仍然身壯力建好踩得,希望他日我也能有這樣的能力。
我們在一處鮑魚苗培育場吃飯,大隊也在這兒安營札寨過夜。飯後,八哥說天氣太熱,取消騎行,眾人或休息,或游泳。我則選擇回房間洗澡、午睡。誰知道下午三點幾,沒游泳的車友按奈不住,八哥帶隊出外騎車環島,卻忘記了找我。我黃昏六點幾睡醒後才知道,真係情何以堪。

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
