Started cycling at 517am ( RWGPS is wrong). This is my first real ride since Granite Anvil 1300km, so I was interested in how the recovery is going and how the cleaned-up freewheel & lower speed cassette & new bottom bracket do. Also was using this ride to see if maybe I was ready for Gold Rush 1200k, which is 5 days away. COMPARE the 2 RIDES: Most recent ride data is listed first: Moving time = 4:12 vs 4:31 Total Duration = 4:31 vs 4:48 Climbs = 1mi = moving time 6:37 vs 7:33 Start time of ride 515am vs 527AM Interesting! This most recent ride is faster in the moving time and Climb. Not sure how wind played into this. So I would say I have recovered at least to 100k level. LOL There appeared to be a bit more traffic this morning on mile 24.4 - 34.4. Maybe take Verrado Rd north from Beloat > west on Broadway > north on Rainbow? Due to schedule concerns in Sept, I have opted to not do Gold Rush 1200km ( 9/3/25 - 9/6 but do Apple Valley classic 600k a week later ( 9/13). This allows me time to drive Phx > MN > Do 600k > go to either New Glarus or St Joe > etc. My HS 50 Reunion is 9/27.
