First ride after taking a month off - Ouch.
Trying to figure out routes I can I can walk out the front door and start. This wasn't bad overall. Did it on a holiday so traffic was light. First ride too on the sparkly clean drivetrain. Newly hot waxed chain (that's something I've never said in regards to my bike, usually the snowboard). Trying something new. Felt great. No issues. Jomax was a bit rough, but I would do this again or parts of it, for a shorter quicker ride.
Also trying out a new aluminum insulated water bottle. Didn't think I would ever go that route, but tired of hot water 15min into the ride and this is supposed to help extend that (to 30min - nah, should be 3hrs at 100 degrees?) Maybe. It feels light when holding it, comparing my Camelbak insulated bottle. It is a little more than twice the weight. Can't squeeze it and I thought that would be an issue. Really wasn't worked well overall. Might get another.
Met a guy on the ride in Vistancia…fun when that happens. He road with me for most of the Vistancia loop. Great having someone to chat with on the ride and meeting a new friend :). Solid rider. Cheers Dany!
