Nairn Falls Provincial Park to Joffre Lake Provincial Park

I knew this would be a challenging ride! The continuous climb from Pemberton (about 2 hrs drive from Vancouver) to Joffre Lake is 7 miles and RideWithGPS said it was variable 5% to 13% grade. But the first part seemed really steep. It turns out the first 3 miles (5km) up was 15%! I still achieved my goal time for this climb. The good parts: Mostly in the shade, and the river is adjacent to the road which gave a nice gurgling sound and mini waterfalls to look at. Also it was about 75F and I didn't get any cramps. Another great day in the Sea to Sky corridor of British Columbia!

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
