Bellingham to Vancouver. Overall great ride but I felt my legs were not as strong as yesterday. The trail to Ferndale was very bumpy but it came in to an absolutely beautiful park with a very fancy, very Swedish, farmhouse and one of the most amazing gardens I’ve ever seen. From there was a long climb and a bit of a slog on long farm roads into Blaine. After a coffee and wrap I crossed the border and rode the bike lane of King George Blvd on what seemed forever. This was followed by a long, flat, Colebrook Rd that also seemed to go on and on. Probably my legs. This lead to a delightful gravel trail that went mainly on the west side of the train tracks. With little warning, this trail ended up closed with flooding. Bummer. Backtrack a bit and continued on another delightfull trail on the east side. Eventually I got to the very industrial outskirts of the city with lots trucks, cars, tall bridges, all on bike lanes and bike trails. Eventually I got on the BC Parkway trail that tries to follow the Expo line. Lots of scooters, e-bikes, kids with (grand)parents out of school. A bit slow going.
