Paul Douglas Preserve MTB Ride 9-19-25

Fuel EX 9.8. Sunny and bright, low 70's at the start, got up to mid 80's, variable winds not a factor - a gorgeous Fall day. Not too crowded, I saw 6-7 other riders but only four out on the trails, and one was going in the wrong direction. It was a guy new to the trails so I set him off in the right direction. I saw 4 deer, including 2 really small young ones, but no spots, so they're headed into their first Winter.

Fast ride today, averaging 9.3 mph. Legs felt really well rested after the multiple days off on our trip to Michigan. I stuck mostly to the West trails, including some double trips to make 20 miles. Also rode over to the East upper loop.

Stopped at the Assembly for lunch.

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
