Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

It's getting warmer. In the mid 70's today. Great day for a ride. Winds from the North West. The legs felt average to start. I made it to the end of OTR in good time. The heart rate monitor worked today. I had to reset it at the end of OTR. From that point on, the metrics were spot on. The outbound went fairly quick. The wind was mostly on my tail. I spared no time at the turn-around and headed back. As usual it took a few minutes to get settled in. There was a section of road that had the most fowl smell from the fertilized farm-lands. It also smelled like burnt solid rocket propellant. I was happy to get past that part of the ride. I ended up riding at about 15 MPH most of the way back. The wind was noticeable, but it wasn't gale-force. I was able to put in a good dig over the last risers. Maxing out at the summit. From there, it was the descent and mostly tempo through the short rise to Banuducci. Fun and games through OTR and home. Concentration was good. No lapses. Ailments, next to none. Balance and form felt good. Gear worked great. (I wasn't paying attention, but I don't think I heard any mystery creaking noises, contrary to my initial expectations). Other notes, I saw 1 other cyclist descending OTR as I was ascending. No gliders in the air, today...
