Riding from Dan's house on the Northwest Branch trail with a side jaunt into Wheaton to try the newly opened trails there. Don't ride this much because it's an out-and-back route but once or twice a year is a good plan. There's been trail added north of Bonifant Road and labeled NW Branch, so we rode that too. And the Wheaton stuff used to be horses only but the county now allows MTBs on certain trails in the park, good for another 3 miles of riding. Nice trails, too. Hardly anybody out because we started about 1:30, being ORGs with tiiiiiiiime on our hands. Tricky "stream" crossings south of the MD 200 highway remain that way, with rocks in weird places and occasionally a board serving as a bridge. Navigated all of those and didn't crash, for the win. w/Dan
