Cool fall day, temps around 60, with a strong, COLD north wind. Dressed appropriately so it was not a big deal. Usual loop around 10MC, though solo for the first time in forever. Trails were hard packed, fast, and a bit leafy, but nothing like they will be in a few weeks. Then rode a bunch of Black Hill, another trail system that involves repeating sections in order to ride all or most of it. Skipped the Hard Rock trail's northern end and did the Cabin Branch trail in both directions. It's one of the few around that is equally fun in either direction. Climbed a section of the Hamilton Trail at 10.8 that I think we've only ever ridden downhill. Turns out the giant roots at the lower end near the road are COMPLETELY different and easier going north! Body was not particularly happy with being forced to climb in the first several miles but it eventually relented. Suspect it was still feeling the effort from Tuesday and maybe some of the work around the house yesterday...
