Morning Campers 👋 Today is going to be ‘Olot’ of fun!
We begin by heading north via quiet lanes to Banyoles.
From here we begin to climb North into the foothills of the Pyrenees. The road is ‘undulating’ to say the least - with multiple climbs between 2km and 5km in length. This is a challenging road. Don’t burn all your matches on day one. Take it easy and enjoy this stunning valley offering great scenery and quiet roads in the Natural Park de Zona Volcànica de la Garrotxa.
We’ll descend into the busy city of Olot for lunch at La Rutina.
After lunch we’ll enjoy gentle lanes along the valley floor with views out towards the Puigsacalm; the highest pre-pyrenees mountain range in Catalan.
Then it’s everyone’s favourite fun and fast pedal home on big wide roads down through Amer and Angles.
Today is a ride of two halves. With a challenging ride out, work together this morning and keep your powder dry. This way, the return leg will feel like a free wheel home 💪
Txots for Saturday night dinner - back by popular demand - including the cook-your-own black Angus burger. They don’t serve this anymore but have put it on the menu just for us because it was so popular. This time they are individual burgers cooked on your own individual metal hot plate, so no need to share.

Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
