Wasco-Sycamore GW Fat Bike Ride 10-31-25

Farley 9.6. Mostly cloudy, cool - 48 at the start, warmed up to around 50, WNW winds @ 6 to 12 mph. Fairy high humidity so it felt colder but I dressed right for it. Dry, packed trails conditions and some pretty nice Fall colors. Started at the Wasco ball fields and road out almost to the old GW trailhead at Old State St.

I only saw 3 other riders and maybe 6 hikers and runners. Hard ride both directions with headwinds out then wind speeds dropped on the return. I saw 4 deer, all around The Windings.

Stopped at Squire Ale House for a quick bite after the ride.

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
