Ride to Groton with NVP and ALZ

This is a NVP ride for second stringers, everyone else was doing the CRW ride to the clouds. Also it served as a training ride for people doing an Alzheimer's benefit ride in Portsmouth, NH in June. I only did the 27 miler because had to be at the Faux Food truck festival. Started out cooler than I thought and rained the last 15 minutes, lot colder than I thought. I rode with some guys for the first 14 miles, keeping up a good 15 to 16 mile per hour pace. But not too hilly.
I think most of the slower riders were doing the 27 miler, but I didn't see them after a while. The guys I was riding with were planning to do the 41 or 63, but I bet they ended up doing the 41 because of the rain.

    Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices

  • TCX Course

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
