Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

Today was a good average ride. The weather was a bit warm and the wind was unusual. I had somewhat of a tail cross going out. My legs were heavy to begin. But by the time I reached the top of the descent, I was sufficiently warmed up. As I went down the mountain, the wind shifted directions. From tail, to a head-wind. When I reached the base of the climb, my legs were slightly heavy again. It took me about 1 mile before they came around. I felt pretty good through out the ride. I tried to keep the pace steady with no heroics. I was feeling the affects of heat exhaustion as I made my way to the loop monument. I opened my jersey zipper and that helped a lot. My concentration was good for the most part. I felt discouraged on a few occasions, but I was able to bring my focus back to the task at hand. Ailments consisted of only numbness in my right hand. Making a fist and relaxing mitigated that problem. Gear is working well.
