Paul Douglas Snowy Fat Bike Ride 12-01-25

Farley 9.6. Mostly cloudy, cold - 27 up to 30 degrees, 2-6 mph mostly South winds. West side trails groomed, East side all natural (8-10" snow), so I rode the West trails. Even groomed, the ride was tough as there was not a lot of traffic and varying from the groomed section meant sliding out or having to walk up hills if stopped. Thank god for the studs as there were quite a few icy packed sections of trail.

Saw one couple of riders and talked to them for a bit. Several runners/hikers out and 5 deer, including a 6 point buck, all of them very hairy. I had one fall over, got pretty covered in snow. Dressed a bit too warm, worked up quite a sweat.

Stopped by the Assembly for a salad lunch.

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail).
