Farley 9.6. Cloudy and quite a bit colder than yesterday, 18-19 degrees all day but still quite nice for riding. 2" of powder overnight which actually improved the trail conditions somewhat, covering up all the icy sections and softening up the ride. It helped that I aired down the tires to 5.5 psi rear/4.8 psi front, which softened the ride further and improved traction, especially up hills. Same route as yesterday but in the opposite direction and the extra snow slowed down my pace. I saw only one rother rider out on the trails and 3-4 at the trailhead, 2 runners/hikers out and saw 18 deer total. Had to be very careful to stick to the tamped down section of the trail as the bike spun out of of the middle. I had quite a few foot down moments but only one slide out. I put on the pogies before heading out to Paul Douglas, which meant light gloves and warm hands. Stopped off at The Assembly for a late lunch and a few pops.
