Berkeley, baby

Amazing ride. Largest single climb since I don’t know when. Great mix of dense Berkeley hill riding and rural park feel. A bit more trafficc then I expected with lots pickup trucks. Rockridge was a perfect stop and 8 minutes headways back to SF.

Pinehurst and redwood rd were just great. I could take redwood to Castro valley and take bart back from further south.

Now I realize i didn't go down Joaquin Miller, but I went down Redwood road. That is clearly inferior to Joaquin Miller, and requires a climb back up Monterey. Take JQ next time

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
