When I got home yesterday, Sonny and Bob and started a conversation about how it was going to be raining this weekend and we wouldn't be riding. Well I checked the forecast and it said there was going to be no rain between 8a-3p around his place. Further south, the rain would hold off until even later. Bob was skeptical of the forecast and we said we'd see how it was in the morning.
At my place, the roads were wet and it was a little misty but at Bob's, it was dry. It was on!
To get us home for 3p, we just rode down to get lunch at Tacos Al Pastor. It was funny because I was just at the same plaza yesterday for lunch.
Because of how gray it was at my place, I decided to overdress in case it was wet, even though the temperature said it was going to be warm. When I got to Bob's and saw how much drier it was and how less cloudy the sky was, I changed. I'm so glad I did because it was a shorts and short sleeves, no base layer, weather kind of ride. I also talked Bob into changing, who was wearing even more than me.
The sun came out when we were in Los Gatos but the rest of the ride was overcast. It seemed like it was dry enough that we could’ve ridden Calero or dirt further south today.
Sonny and I both ordered super burritos but they were anything but since they were missing guacamole and sour cream. They gave us regular burritos!
On the way back, starting right at 2p, I felt a drop of rain on my thigh which I didn't realize was rain at the time. I just thought it was some water. Then I felt random sprinkles every few minutes. It progressed until ~2:15p, it was still light and random sprinkles but I felt them every 10s or so. We were heading north and the storm was going south so I thought maybe we were riding into it but then it stopped
So we did make it back before it started to rain. An hour later and it still hasn't started actually.
