Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

Since I’m about to start my 2 week training vacay, I had requested a workout today (vs the usual rest day.) Last night I had one Corona beer and one aperol spritz at my partner’s work Christmas dinner party, with food…and I am SO hungover this morning it’s not even funny. WTF?! (Probably doesn’t help that I didn’t sleep well: All menu options were very high fat, which my stomach is not used to.)
This workout was super fun but challenging given the above scenario. I still managed a very pretty graph (the aesthetic pleases me, yes, but to me it symbolizes precision in performance, which is my goal.) I have finally nailed down my cadence and gears for target watts on the trainer, and my power output is much steadier now that I’m comfortable with the cleats. The 30 sec surges were above my FTP…I went above that pretty consistently. After seeing my watt numbers on the real bike yesterday, I *KNOW* I’m much stronger than my FTP test indicated. (Which J also said from the beginning.)
Photos from Dutchess’s Daughter, where the dinner party last night took place. It’s super pretty. It’s supposed to be one of the fanciest restaurants in town. Had never tried it before, but unfortunately I agree with the camp that says the food there is overrated.
