Licensed to Drive (and Ride)

Helmets off to the DMV. It used to feel like visiting a third-world country, but now they are fast and efficient. I was in and out before my appointment. Made me think. I've only had driver's licenses in two states. Virginia and Oregon (1977-present). As for cars, in order: 1966 Volvo 122s sedan, 1966 brown Rambler American, 1966 blue Rambler American, 1968 BMW R69S motorcycle, 1970 VW Squareback, 1962 Rambler Classic, 19something Toyota Tercel Coupe, 19something Toyota Corolla Wagon, 1966 Volvo 122s Wagon, 1994 Nissan Sentra, 2005 Subaru Forester. 2025 Toyota RAV4.

    Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices

  • TCX Course

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
