Sisters to 3 Creeks Lake, Mostly on Dirt

This jaunt starts at the trailhead for the Peterson Ridge Trail. Follow the posted signs for PRT (Peterson Ridge Trail) EAST all the way until it intersects with a paved road, left up the hill for a couple thousand feet of climbing, back onto dirt until you reach beautiful 3 Creeks Lake. Turn around for a whopping long descent! The PRT EAST is a mild to moderate technical/aerobic workout, I'm an old geezer, made it without dismount. PRT WEST, if you are unfortunate enough to end up on it, is full of rock gardens and (for me, anyway) frustration. Good maps at the trailhead that you can put in your pocket.

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail).
