This was a Port Townsend ride I did navigating around the Chetzemoka "trail" in Port Townsend, up and down the Larry Scott trail, with a detour up the hill (and back down) on Thompson to stop at a bike shop). The Chetzemoka Trail in Port Townsend is not a "trail" per se, but a route around Port Townsend with about 18 sites with information about Chief Chetzemoka and the S'Klallam people. Take note that a small part of the route is singletrack and that some sections may have some overgrowth (though it was OK the last time I went), rocks, routes, or mud. Also take notes that many small side streets the route takes through town have so many potholes that is it like an obstacle course navigating around them. I probably will not try riding that route again and just ride to Chetzemoka Park or Fort Worden if I want to go there. But I LOVE the Larry Scott trail which is part of the Olympic Discovery Trail and ride it frequently. The trail is part paved, part hard-pack dirt, and some gravel. There is one small section that connects the trail where they recently seem to have added some new gravel that is very loose. They'll be finishing another section of the Olympic Discovery Trail soon that connects the end of the Larry Scott Trail up to Anderson Lake. I can't wait! My ride times here were VERY slow due to potholes, missed directions, and a bunch of stops and starts.
