Monday 8th July/ All three in the same room getting used to this now, unfortunately my eye had got worse over night the swelling is all over the left side of my face, googled the local pharmacies, located one that was around 400m away and open at 7:00 so off we all went. Very stern chemist I should her my John Merricks face (Elephant man), got a little package passed it to me and said 350 Ukraine things. I look at it noticed it was a syringe and vial? Keith asked her if she would inject it No came the stern reply, then he asked where should it go bottom she said even sterner. So off we went back to the digs, Linny and Keith in front me behind thinking f*** how is this going to work. Easy U tube video "nothing can go wrong" it all about getting it in the right quadrant. Any order of service was Linny on camera, Keith on syringe me with my pants down, no problem in iy went. We then got on with breakfast and on the bikes just after 08:15. Through the town then onto a decent road, me thinking hope that injection works! , after around 30 miles we stop at a little petrol station for coffees and snacks , I felt that the pain and swelling was easing though did not get any good vibes from the other two, just weird looks and quips. On we pressed until we came to a truck stop for lunch Linny and I had the soup ( full of meat) veggies diet struggling Keith went for the hamburger probably the best option,
18 miles form our destination on we pushed with the rain getting heavier,as we entered the city the roads deteriorated again. Had to ride the last 5 miles in flood waters covering the pot holes good fun but we made it. Also my eye is getting better, well a little.
